The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has elected Femi Edward as the 2017 students’ week chairman.
The SRC’s chairman, Segun Akinleye, said during the meeting held on Wednesday, February 15 that this was part of the council’s efforts to earn a great students’ week without aiming the efforts of SRC towards students’ week alone.
Moreover, the house chose Edward amidst two other counterparts with everyone’s submission that he is the square peg for the square hole.
Edward who is a reporter at Ovation Magazine and HND 2 member of the institution stressed that everyone in the SRC is a chairman and called for a concerted effort to portray 2017 students’ week as a memorable one.
The slogan for the week is “Beyond Ordinary” while five committees; mobilization, sponsorship, welfare and logistics, marketing, media and publicity are being worked extensively upon.
The membership of these committees was said by Edward that it would exclusively be on merit as each class governor would be contacted to fix people into each committee considering students’ strength.
